According to national cardiovascular disease centre Professor Zheng Zhe, the newest data reveal, the hospital that can launch openheart surgery in 2009 reaches 694, increased 217 families compared with 2003, and the quantity of openheart surgery was from 76000 157000 rising to 2009 in 2003.

The national cardiovascular disease centre director Professor Hu ShengShou thinks, the national openheart surgery database is that the curative effect of making cardiac surgery of our country appraises the foundation of the system, can offer the objective and accurate data for formulation of the hygiene policy. Meanwhile, this database contributes to setting up the cardiac surgery risk of suiting the crowd of our country and predicting models too.

It is reported, by December of 2008, through registering, this database has already obtained to 36696 to accept the department of cardiovascular surgery treat patient's detailed clinical data nationwide. At the beginning of of 2010, the data system of this database is included in European ambition surgery and cures the database system of SCTE adult's department of cardiac surgery.
